A special-order Winchester Model 1894 Deluxe, serial 144570, made in 1898 and chambered in .25-35 WCF. The 26-inch barrel is half octagon, half round, and the rifle is a takedown with a half magazine. Roughly half of the original blue survives, and the wood wears a coat of varnish. It is sold used on consignment under stock number AW1097.

An 1898 date puts this rifle in the nineteenth century, and the takedown, half-octagon and half-magazine options show that someone ordered it to their own taste. It belongs with a Texas collector of lever guns, though the .25-35 is a legitimate centerfire deer cartridge for the North Zone general season, November 7, 2026 to January 3, 2027, and Texas bars only rimfire for whitetails, so a careful owner could still take it afield at modest ranges. The takedown feature lets it ride in a compact case between the gun room and the lease.
