This is an unmarked horse bit with a double-mounted silver overlay and a concha, or coin, motif of a bull, listed as a steer, set with red eyes. The mouth opening is about 5.75 inches wide, the shanks run about 6 inches, and total length is 8 inches. It is a consignment piece, stock number MIS70161, and the seller grades it excellent. No maker's mark is present, so there is no attribution beyond the work itself.

A bit like this suits a Texas rider who wants silver on a working headstall, or a collector of western tack who buys for the silverwork rather than to ride. The 5.75-inch mouth is the measurement to match against your horse before you buy, and the 6-inch shanks set the leverage. As a consignment item it is sold in the condition described, which here is excellent, with the overlay and the red-eyed steer as shown.
