The Beretta 80X Cheetah in its Tactical Urban form is a compact double-action .380 ACP with a 4.4-inch threaded barrel. It has an alloy frame, polymer grips, an optic-ready slide, ambidextrous thumb safety levers and an accessory rail. Two 15-round magazines come in the box. The gun is new, stock number NGZ5264, UPC 082442988627; the image shown is a stock photo.

Fifteen rounds of .380 in a compact alloy-frame pistol is a soft-shooting package, and the optic cut, rail and threaded muzzle let a Texas owner set it up as a nightstand gun with a light and a dot or carry it plain. The ambidextrous safety suits left-handed shooters. The .380 recoils less than 9mm, so it is a good fit for anyone who finds a full-size 9mm hard to manage. Texas buyers need no permit; you show photo identification, complete Form 4473 and the dealer runs the NICS check, with a current License to Carry accepted in its place at most dealers.
