A Sharps Model 2A derringer, offered as an antique handgun under stock number AH8145 and carrying serial number 1596. The seller describes the condition as beautiful, with an excellent finish and excellent grips. No further specifications accompany the listing, so judge the piece from the photographs and those two condition notes, both of which are unusually strong for a pocket pistol of this type.

With so little wear reported on the finish and grips, this Sharps is a display and collection item for a Texas buyer rather than something to shoot. It suits the collector who already owns the common examples and wants one with the finish largely intact, or someone starting a derringer collection with a strong first piece. Texas makes the purchase simple: no permit, no registration, photo identification and Form 4473 at the dealer, and a current License to Carry can stand in for the federal check at most dealers.
