Smith & Wesson's Model 10-5 is a K-frame revolver in .38 Special, and this one dates from the 1970s with serial D906840. It has a 4-inch pinned barrel, a blue finish and wood grips, and the supplier grades it in excellent condition, which is a strong claim for a working revolver of that age.

A 4-inch K-frame is the classic service revolver size, and in .38 Special it stays easy to shoot for a new Texas handgun owner who wants something simple for the nightstand or the range. There are no magazines to buy or lose, and a revolver this size rides well in a belt holster. Buying one here takes photo ID, Form 4473 and the dealer's NICS check, or a current Texas License to Carry in place of the check at most dealers, with no state permit, registration or waiting period on top.
