A used Smith and Wesson M&P9 Shield, serial HRW4638, from modern production. It is a compact striker-fired 9mm with a 3.125-inch barrel and a manual safety. The bore is very good and the pistol is in very good condition, and it comes with the box and an extra magazine.

The Shield is a slim 9mm made for concealed carry, and in Texas it fits the shooter who wants something that hides under a T-shirt through a Houston summer. The manual safety will suit anyone who prefers a lever to flip off before firing, and the short barrel keeps printing to a minimum in an inside-the-waistband holster. With the box and a spare magazine included, it is ready to carry or to keep by the bed. Texas asks for no permit to buy and no registration; photo identification and Form 4473 at a licensed dealer, and a current License to Carry can stand in for the NICS check at most dealers.
